Florence Copper was honored to receive the 2023-2024 Award for ‘Individual, Business, Foundation or Civic/Community Organization for Contributions to Education’ from the Arizona School Public Relations Association (ASPRA). The award recognized Florence Copper’s ongoing partnership with the Florence Unified School District (FUSD).
The awards ceremony, known as the ASPRAtions Awards, took place in the first quarter of 2024 and was attended by representatives of Florence Copper, FUSD administration, and the FUSD Governing Board. Florence Copper Manager of Communications and Public Affairs Sophie Dessart accepted the award on the project’s behalf.
“Since 2011, Florence Copper has contributed over $97,000 in sponsorships, grants, in-kind donations, and scholarships to the Florence Unified School District…Florence Copper has been a champion for Florence Unified School District and an advocate for each student,” said FUSD Director of Public Relations Rita Reznick during the awards ceremony.
“Florence Copper takes great pride in our partnership with FUSD. Beyond helping to provide valuable educational and extracurricular opportunities for our youth, this collaboration is an investment in our community’s future. We recognize that today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders in our community,” said Dessart on the award.
