The Florence Copper Community Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of $8,000 in grants to support local organizations and initiatives in the first quarter of 2024. These grants aim to strengthen community resources, enhance cultural endeavors, and support essential services for residents of Florence and surrounding areas.
Individual grants of $2,000 were awarded to the Florence Baptist Church/Food Bank, Future Forward Foundation, Pinal County Historical Society, and Pedro E Guerrero Arts Center.
Each grant recipient demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals and families within the local community.
- The Florence Baptist Church/Food Bank grant will support efforts to alleviate food insecurity and provide essential resources to those in need.
- The Future Forward Foundation grant will assist in advancing the Florence Ecumenical Council, which brings together local churches, nonprofits, businesses, public sector entities, and service groups to organize holiday food distributions to local food insecure families.
- The grant awarded to the Pinal County Historical Society will contribute to the development of Phase II of their website, enhancing access to historical information and educational resources for residents and visitors alike.
- Lastly, the grant provided to the Pedro E Guerrero Arts Center will support the Center’s arts projects, preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of our region for future generations.
