December 4, 2023 – The Florence Copper Community Foundation recently awarded a grant of $2000 to the Five20 Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of local youth through the transformative power of music. Founded in early 2023 by Keith and Melissa Rea, alongside Director Rod Kent, the Five20 Music Foundation has set out on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower young individuals by providing them with high-quality music programs and instruments.
The Five20 Music Foundation is committed to ensuring that every participant receives top-tier instruction and support, regardless of their socio-economic background. By leveling the playing field and making music education accessible to all, the Foundation aims to instill a love for music in the hearts of the youth, fostering a positive impact that extends far beyond the stage.
Keith Rea, Director of the Five20 Music Foundation, expressed his appreciation, stating, “With the help of the Florence Copper Community grant, we’ll be able to help our youth explore their creativity, learn to work collaboratively, and gain a sense of achievement as they progress on their musical journey. The grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation will support the Five20 Music Foundation’s endeavors. It will enable the acquisition of musical instruments for the youth participants, as well as aid in fundraising efforts for a much-needed cargo trailer. Through these efforts, the Five20 Music Foundation hopes to reignite the passion for the performing arts among the youth and provide them with a platform to express their creativity and talent.
