Congratulations to the Florence Copper Creating Opportunities scholarship recipients for 2021!
Nathan Salgao and Miliana Mack are both seniors at Florence High School and each were awarded $1000 to put towards their college expenses next year.
Nathan plans to attend Northern Arizona University and study biology. During is years at Florence High, he gained work experience at McDonalds and achieved a high GPA.
Miliana plans to attend Central Arizona College and study nursing. She was awarded Student of the Year in 8th grade and has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year.
As part of the scholarship application, both students were required to submit videos on the following topic: What role does copper play in new and emerging technology? The role of copper in the future?
