The Florence Copper Community Foundation is pleased to announce a $1,000 grant awarded to The Sons of The American Legion, Squadron 97. This grant will support the squadron’s newly developed youth drone program.
The funding will be used to acquire advanced drone equipment and provide specialized training for young members. The new program aims to enhance the squadron’s capabilities in community service projects, search and rescue missions, and educational initiatives for youth.
“The Florence Copper Community Foundation’s support is greatly appreciated,” said John Meyer, Detachment Commander for Squadron 97. “This grant will significantly enhance our ability to engage and educate our youth, while expanding our outreach and effectiveness in serving the community.”
