Starting in November 2023, the Club of Florence, in collaboration with the City of Florence, will launch the Florence Renewed Humanism Climate Finance Award; the award will be held annually.
The prize will be awarded to outstanding individuals who, by their actions and example, have initiated and led a significant economic and social paradigm shift for a better world, particularly in climate action, in line with the spirit of the Florentine Renaissance through a contemporary reinterpretation of a renewed humanism.
The Award ceremony will be the catalyst for a high-profile summit with leaders from national and international institutions and local leaders such as other European Mayors who lead the pathway towards net zero cities by setting role model examples. The event will be participatory in nature, with the local representatives of the youth group, academia, civil society, and micro and small businesses being offered the opportunity to engage.
